Robin Schulz and Steve Aoki Finally Unite on Club Banger "Bloodtype"

After sharing festival stages and backstage moments for over a decade, DJ/producer titans Robin Schulz and Steve Aoki have finally delivered their first studio collaboration with "Bloodtype," featuring London-based producer LAWRENT. The track marks a darker, more club-focused direction for Schulz, who leans harder into electronic territory than he has in recent memory. Following his May release "Freaking You Out" with NERVO, this new offering showcases a controlled storm of erupting basslines, blown-out white noise, and frenzied beats that feel like "someone ripped out the fuses in the engine room."

The production captures the raw energy that defines both artists' live performances, with Aoki's signature intensity perfectly complementing Schulz's refined production sensibilities and LAWRENT's distinctive sound design. Lyrically, "Bloodtype" paints a vivid picture of club romance, with flashes of light and locked eyes across the dance floor leading to the hook: "Imma give you my bloodtype / Baby, you're just my bloodtype." The topline is delivered with an icy, slightly distorted vocal that dances between cool and commanding, creating what the artists describe as "a short-circuit at 130 BPM."

Schulz, Germany's most successful international solo artist with over 20 billion streams and 15 #1 hits, brings his decade of experience to the collaboration. The Osnabrück native has earned over 850 international gold awards and maintains 30 million monthly Spotify listeners, making him the most-played artist on German radio. Meanwhile, two-time Grammy-nominated Steve Aoki contributes his cross-genre expertise from nine studio albums and collaborations with everyone from BTS to Linkin Park, alongside his role as founder of the trendsetting Dim Mak label that launched acts like The Chainsmokers and Zedd.

LAWRENT, the Paris-born, London-based producer, adds his billion-stream expertise to the mix, having recently scored major successes with "End Of Time" alongside Lucas & Steve (#1 on US Dance Radio) and "Euphoria" with Armin van Buuren and Alok. "Bloodtype" is already a staple in Schulz's current festival circuit, from Tomorrowland to his Ibiza residency at Pacha, proving that this long-awaited collaboration was worth the decade-long wait. The track is now available everywhere via Warner Music.
