Don Diablo Releases “Freek Like Me” and Announces HEXAGON 2.0

A decade into shaping the sound of the future, Don Diablo is turning the page on a new chapter. With the launch of HEXAGON 2.0, the iconic producer and label head is shifting gears — focusing on fewer releases, elevated curation, and deepening the connection between music and listener.

Leading the charge is “Freek Like Me,” a gritty club anthem built around a catchy spoken vocal hook, layered over upbeat piano chords and a driving bassline. The track pays homage to oldschool house with flashes of UK garage energy, wrapped in Don’s signature futuristic production style.

“What started as a remix that hit number one on Beatport turned into something way bigger than I ever imagined,” says Don. “Over the past ten years, HEXAGON has grown into a global platform — not just a label but a movement, a family, and a launchpad for new talent.”

Since its inception, HEXAGON has become one of the most influential labels in dance music, with collaborations spanning Major Lazer, Robbie Williams, MK, Jamiroquai, Galantis, Gucci Mane, and Felix Jaehn. Don’s own FORΞVΞR album crossed a billion streams, and in 2020, he was named the most supported producer in the world by 1001Tracklists — built largely on HEXAGON releases.

Now, as the label hits its 10-year milestone, Don is making it clear: it's not just about growth, it's about evolution.

“We’re entering a new era where quality needs to win over quantity. ‘Freek Like Me’ marks the start of HEXAGON 2.0 — a chapter where every release is more intentional, more meaningful, and designed to truly connect with people, not just feed the algorithms.”

Musically, he’s calling the new direction NeoNostalgia — a fusion of the classic house vibes he grew up with and cutting-edge sound design. It’s a callback to the roots of Future House, injected with a modern twist.

“HOUSE is the FUTURE, and the FUTURE is HOUSE,” Don emphasizes. “But beyond the music, my mission is to blur the line between the DJ and the crowd. I want to break the fourth wall and create a space where we’re all in it together.”

With HEXAGON 2.0 now in motion, and “Freek Like Me” setting the tone, Don Diablo is not just redefining his sound — he's reimagining the dance floor. And after ten years of shaping the scene, he’s more inspired than ever to lead the next generation.
